Keeping Your Marketplace Account Secure
Account takeover is one of the most damaging things that can happen to an online seller. Here's how to make it much harder to happen to you.
A unique password, always
Reusing a password across sites is how most account takeovers happen. Use a password manager; the good ones are cheap or free.
Turn on two-factor authentication
Every account that supports 2FA should have it on. A stolen password without the second factor is far less useful to an attacker.
Watch for phishing
Real support teams do not ask for your password. They do not send you a login link out of the blue. When in doubt, open a new browser tab and go to the site yourself.
Watch your payout account
Attackers who break into a seller account often try to change the payout bank account before draining a pending payout. Set up email alerts on any change to sensitive settings; on Suliit these alerts are on by default and cannot be disabled.
